Read your social chats on your phone
Your Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger chats show in the Chat tab beside your Aden chats, one row per person.
The chats you read in the desktop app's Inbox also show in the phone's Chat tab, mixed in with your Aden chats by their latest message.
Your computer does the work. Aden has to be open on it, signed in, with Beeper connected. When it is off, the list says so, and the chats come back once it is on.
Read and reply
- Someone on several apps is one row, with each app's mark on their picture.
- Open a person to read and reply. When they are on several apps, the icons at the top right switch between them.
- Swipe a message left to reply to it. Long-press for reactions and copy.
- Send photos, videos and files with the +, or hold the microphone to record a voice note.
- Voice notes play with a waveform. The captions button shows a transcript.
- Start a chat from the compose button: pick the app, find the person, and write the first message if you like.
Do more with a person
Long-press someone to start a session, add them to your contacts or collaborators, invite them to Aden or copy their handle. The phone button rings their number.
Choose which apps show
Tap the filter button beside search and pick the apps. With none picked, you see everything.
Turn it off
On your computer, turn off Phone access in the Inbox settings in Links, or search "phone access" in ⌘K. That also stops your phone from playing audio on your computer.
