Arrange a moodboard on the canvas

Build a freeform board with images, colours and labels, live with your team.

Canvas turns a moodboard into a freeform board, like a real wall of references. It works on a track's, album's or team's Inspiration tab.

Build the board

  1. Open the Inspiration tab and switch the view to Canvas.
  2. Click Add saved images to bring over what's already on your grid.
  3. Copy any image or screenshot and press ⌘V (Ctrl+V) to drop it on.
  4. Draw rectangles and colour them with your brand colours to build a palette.
  5. Add text labels, like "profile" or "logo".
  6. Move, resize, rotate and layer anything.
  7. Paste a Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud or YouTube link to play it right on the board.

Bring in a board from canvas.aden.space

  1. On canvas.aden.space, press Save to get a canvas file.
  2. In Aden, open the Inspiration tab and switch the view to Canvas.
  3. Click ... next to the online count and choose Open canvas file.
  4. Pick the file. It replaces the board for everyone, and Undo in the message brings the old one back.

Choose Save as canvas file in the same menu to take a board with you. A studio session's ideas board has the same menu.

The board saves as you work and updates live for everyone on it. You see how many people are there.

Good to know

  • The canvas sits on top of your saved items and never changes them. Grid and masonry stay simple galleries.
  • Some sites, including Pinterest, block their images from being brought over. Paste those onto the board instead.
