Import a statement file

Map any distributor's statement once, check the total against the printed one, and reuse the mapping.

Distributors all format their statements differently. Map a file once, and next month's file imports in seconds.

Business owners and admins only.

Distributors Aden already knows

Statements from DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, Believe, Symphonic, Amuse, Bandcamp, Revelator and LANDR are recognised from their columns and mapped for you, including their dates and currencies. Aden tells you which one it recognised.

Map a file

  1. Open Royalties and press Import statement.
  2. Pick the file, and set which row holds the headers and where the data starts.
  3. Check which column feeds each field: ISRC, track title, store, territory, units, net amount and so on. Aden guesses from the headers; fix anything that's off.
  4. Set a date format for period columns, and defaults such as currency, territory or store if the file doesn't say.
  5. Watch the preview of the lines update as you go.
  6. Tick Save as template to reuse the whole mapping. Next time, pick it and it lines up with the new file.

Clean up values

The wand beside a mapped column renames values (a distributor's Streaming becomes a stream), finds and replaces text, or multiplies amounts, such as 0.01 when a file reports cents. The preview follows as you type, and the rules save with the template.

Check the total

Before importing, Aden shows how many lines it read, the net total per currency and how many rows it skipped (no amount, or nothing naming a track). Type the total printed on the distributor's statement and Aden tells you if they match. You can still import when they don't.
