Add a rights deal
Record publishing, master, distribution or sync deals by territory, and see clashes at a glance.
Record every deal on your roster's tracks and albums, so anyone can see who holds what, where.
You see and manage deals for artist teams that gave your business access to their contracts and splits.
Add a deal
- Open your business and go to Deals → Rights & deals.
- Press New deal.
- Pick the track or album, the deal type (publishing, master, distribution, licensing, sync, management or other) and the other party. They can be a business on Aden, or just a name.
- Choose the territories: worldwide, only some regions or countries, or worldwide except some.
- Set the share, any advance, the signed date, the term and whether it's exclusive.
- Press Save deal.
An album deal covers the whole album. A track deal covers one track, on its own or carved out of its album's deal, such as a single's publishing going to another publisher in Japan.
Read the overview
Deals are grouped by album. Album deals come first, and any track with its own deal sits underneath as a Track carve-out. Each row shows the type, the other party, territories, share, term and status.
Spot territory conflicts
Two active, exclusive deals of the same type that overlap in at least one country get a Territory conflict badge, including an album deal clashing with one of its tracks. Aden warns you but never blocks you, because real catalogues carry overlapping deals on purpose.
Change a deal
Use the row's menu to Edit, Terminate, Reactivate or Delete a deal.
