Desktop offline mode and tracks on this Mac
The desktop app stays signed in without a network, shows the lists it last saw, and keeps tracks on the machine until you put them on Aden.
What it is
The desktop app works on a plane. You stay signed in, your teams and track lists are the ones the app last saw, synced files play, and you can file a new track without Aden ever hearing about it. When you are back online, "Put on Aden" turns that track into a cloud track in one go.
Staying signed in
Signing in saves a session on this computer. When the app starts and cannot reach Aden, it keeps you signed in on that saved session instead of showing the login form. A thin line under the title bar says Aden is unreachable. The session is only dropped when Aden itself rejects it (you signed out elsewhere, or the account changed), never because the network was down.
Tracks on this Mac
New > New track on this Mac makes a track that lives only on this computer. It has everything a cloud track has: title, status, BPM, key, genre, tags, notes, a cover, bounces, a project folder and documents. None of it counts against your team's storage, and none of it needs a network.
On the Local tab's Projects list these sit first under "On this Mac only". Open one to fill it in. Drop files anywhere on its page: audio becomes a bounce, a DAW file or zip goes under project files, an image becomes the cover, anything else is a document. The files stay where they are on disk; the card only points at them, and a file that goes missing says so.
Putting a track on Aden
Put on Aden asks for the team and the album, then which parts to send: bounces as versions, the project folder as project files, documents, and the cover. Each bounce has a version name, read from the filename ("mix2", "v3", "master", "radio edit") and editable on the card, and a Final toggle. With several local tracks, Put all on Aden sends them together with one team and one album. What you leave unticked stays on this Mac. Before anything uploads, the dialog shows the bytes it would send against the team's remaining storage, and refuses when they do not fit.
When the folder is not uploaded, "Keep the folder linked, without syncing" attaches it to the new cloud track the way a linked track folder is, with auto sync off: the files are one click from the track without ever leaving the machine. Once everything landed, the local card is gone and the cloud track opens.
If the connection drops part way, the card stays with the cloud track it already created. Putting it on Aden again adds the rest to that track rather than making a second one.
Desktop on more than one machine
Every install of the desktop app registers itself, so the other machine can say where a project lives, sync preferences follow the account, and a conflict names the device.
Create an account from the desktop app
Signup started in the desktop app runs in Aden's own window and hands the finished account back to the app, signed in.
