Cloud imports

What it is

Anywhere Aden takes a file, open the Upload split button's chevron and choose Import from cloud, then pick Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive. The file comes over without a round trip through your Downloads folder.

It works for track audio and new versions, cover art, team logos and banners, and organisation documents.

Team files works differently: it browses the clouds your team has connected and copies files across on Aden's side, with no download in your browser. See Cloud sources for team files.

Using it

1. Open the Upload chevron, choose Import from cloud, and pick your provider.
2. Sign in the first time. Aden asks for read-only access.
3. Select one or more files.

While the files transfer, a toast stays on screen with the file name, how far along it is, and how much is left. The button shows a spinner until it's done, so it's clear something is still running. When the last file lands, the toast turns into a confirmation and the upload continues as if you had dropped the file yourself.

Keep the tab open until the download finishes. It runs in your browser, so closing the tab stops it.

When it fails

Downloads fail for ordinary reasons: an expired session, a file that moved, a dropped connection. The error toast names the file and the reason and tells you the next step, usually picking the file again or downloading it to your device and uploading it here.
