Writers camps
Organise songwriting camps — a people pool, session lineup, public signup forms with custom questions, and end-of-camp track decisions — inside an organisation.
What it is
A writers camp groups multiple studio sessions into one event with its own people, lineup, and outcomes. As an organiser you can invite people directly, add them manually, or open a public signup link that anyone can use to apply or join.
The signup link can carry your own custom questions — allergies, dietary needs, accommodation, t-shirt size, gear, PRO/IPI details, emergency contact, and anything else you need — so you collect everything in one step instead of chasing people over email.
Using it
Inviting people
On the camp's People page you can add anyone from your organisation and linked teams, or invite someone new by name + email. In a draft camp nobody is emailed until you hit Publish & send invites, so you can line up the roster first.
Opening public signup
- Open the camp → Settings → Public signup and turn it on. A shareable
link (
/camps/<token>) is created. - Choose what happens when someone signs up:
- Review applications — people apply and you accept or reject each one on the People page.
- Open — anyone with the link joins instantly. An Aden account is created for them automatically and they're emailed a link to finish setting it up.
- Add custom questions with the form builder. Pick a field type (short text, long text, single choice, multiple choice, yes/no, date), set whether it's required, and reorder as needed. You can start from a ready-made example (dietary, accommodation, gear, merch sizing, rights, emergency contact) and tweak it. Up to 15 questions.
- Add a short intro for the signup page and Save signup form.
Reviewing responses
Each applicant's answers show on their card on the People page. The Signup responses card lists everyone who filled the form, with a search box and a per-question filter, plus a one-click Export CSV for catering, rooming, or merch ordering.
