Trials & sponsorships
Every new account gets 3 days of Pro on its first team, and sponsors can grant any paid plan for any number of days via redeemable codes or straight to a camp's participants.
What it is
Two ways to get a paid plan without paying for it.
Your free trial. When you create your first team, it starts on Pro for 3 days: bigger uploads, and every Pro feature switched on. Nothing is charged, no card is asked for, and when the 3 days are up the team simply moves to Free unless you pick a plan. Each account gets one trial, on its first team.
Sponsorship codes. Writing camps, brand programs and partners can sponsor the people taking part. They hand out a code, you redeem it on your team, and the team runs on the sponsored plan for however long the sponsor set. A weekend, a month, a season. When it runs out the team moves to Free, exactly like a trial.
Using it
Starting your first team. The trial is always on: there is no way to start your first team without it, so nothing onboarding walks you through (importing your catalogue, the first-run steps) is locked on day one. The last step of team setup asks whether to keep the trial (already selected) or go straight onto a paid plan, and says plainly that the team drops back to Free after 3 days. Pick a paid plan and checkout opens right after the team is created.
Seeing how long you have left. Open Plan for the team. The current-plan card on the Payments tab carries a Trial, 3 days left (or Sponsored) chip next to the plan badge, and says the exact date it ends right under the price. The plans you can move to sit directly below it, so picking one keeps the plan. You also get an in-app notification when it starts and again on the final day.
Redeeming a sponsorship code. Open Plan for the team, then Redeem a sponsorship code in the current-plan card's action row. Type the code: it shows you what it grants (for example "30 days of Ultra, sponsored by Nova Publishing") before you commit. Only team admins can redeem, and each team can use a given code once.
If a code is rejected, the message says exactly why: expired, all spots claimed, not started yet, or the team already pays for a subscription through checkout.
