Feature tours
Small, self-starting spotlight tours that introduce a page or feature the first time it is opened. Track versions, version comments, calendar, links, and contacts.
What it is
Beyond the one-time welcome tour of the sidebar, Aden shows small mini tours the first time you open certain pages or features. Each one is a short sequence (1–3 steps) of spotlight tooltips pointing at the actual controls on screen, so you learn a feature exactly where you use it:
- Track versions: the first time you open a track with versions: what version cards do (expand, play, reorder, mark final), how to add a new version, and how to search, sort, and A/B-compare versions.
- Version comments: the first time you open a version's comments: writing feedback with @mentions, attachments and voice notes, and pinning a comment to an exact moment or section of the audio.
- Calendar: navigating dates, switching views (day/week/year/timeline), display settings, and calendar sync.
- Links: social links, custom short links, and your public link-in-bio profile.
- Contacts: audience stats, contact groups, and the contacts table.
Each tour shows once: finishing it, skipping it, or dismissing it (Esc, the close button, or clicking elsewhere) marks it as seen and it won't come back. Tours never stack, if another tour is already open, a mini tour waits for its next opportunity instead of appearing on top.
Tours also stay out of the way of your music: one never opens while audio is playing, and if you hit play while a tour is up, it disappears immediately (without being marked as seen) and comes back at a quieter moment.
Want to see a page's tour again? Open the command palette (⌘K / Ctrl+K) and search for "tour":
- Replay the tour: the welcome walkthrough of the sidebar and search.
- Replay page tips: clears every page's mini tour so they all run again, starting on the page you're on.
- Reset setup checklist: puts the team's setup checklist back to unfinished (asks first; nothing you created is deleted).
The same entries live under the help (i) button in the sidebar. ?featureTour=true on a page's URL still replays that one page's tour.
