Browser extension

Manifest V3 Chrome extension that collects tracks into DJ crates while you dig on YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, Bandcamp and Beatport, and saves demos, media and contacts from any page.

What it is

The Aden browser extension is the crate-digging half of Aden. While you browse YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, Bandcamp or Beatport, an overlay sits on the page with your teams and your crates in it. One click drops the track you are listening to into a crate. The set draft you are building for a festival or show, without leaving the page or losing your place.

A crate is a playlist marked as a DJ set draft. It can be tied to a show on your team calendar, so the tracks you collect on the train are already attached to the gig you are collecting them for.

Using it

Set up once. Open the extension popup, keep the overlay switched on, then sign in from the overlay on any supported page and pick the team you are collecting for.

Start a crate for a show. In the overlay's Crate tab, open the crate picker and type a name (for example "Dour opening set"): the picker offers to start a crate with that name. Pick an upcoming show in the For a show picker first and the new crate is tied to that gig.

Collect tracks while you dig. Open a track, check the detected title and artist in the overlay, set an energy (1–10) and a sourcing status (wanted → found → downloaded → prepped), add a note if you want, and hit Add to crate. The overlay stays where it is, so you can keep going. Your energy and status choices stick for the next track.

Collect without opening the overlay. Press Alt+Shift+A on a track page, or right-click and choose Add this track to my Aden crate. Right-click any link and choose Add link to my Aden crate to grab a track you have not opened yet. Both drop into whichever crate you last selected, and a notification tells you what landed where.

Everything else. The Demo & contacts tab keeps the demo intake (save a SoundCloud or YouTube find into your team's demo inbox with a rating and a peak moment) and the contact prefills. Right-click menus still save images, audio and video to team media, documents or a track moodboard, and turn an email link into a contact.
