# Group the board your way
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/your-music/tracks/board-columns

Make the board's columns tags, genres or priority, or add your own columns and sub-boards.
The board groups by status out of the box. You can group it by something else, or keep the statuses and add your own columns next to them.

## Group by another field [#group-by-another-field]

1. Open **Display**.
2. Under **Columns**, pick Status, Tags, Genre, Label, Visibility, Priority, Pitched or Licensing.
3. Tap value chips to choose which columns show, or search the full list. With nothing picked, you get your most used values.

Drag a card to another column to change that value. Drop it on **Untagged**, **No genre** or **No priority** to take the value off. A track with several tags shows under each one; switch off "Show in every matching column" to show it once, under its main tag.

## Add your own columns [#add-your-own-columns]

Keep the statuses and add columns made from a tag or genre, like "pitching" or "Afro House".

* **Add a column**: hover the left edge of a column title and click the **+**. Pick a tag or genre, or type a new tag, then an icon and colour.
* Add a sub-board: hover a column title and click the arrow. A sub-board sits under a status, so "Ready › Pitching" holds the ready tracks you're pitching.

Drag a card into a column and it gets that tag or genre, and the status too for a sub-board. The first time a track leaves a column, Aden asks whether to take the tag off. Keep it for a label like "publishing"; remove it for a stage like "pitching". Change the answer in the column's **…** menu.

Click a column's name to rename it, which renames the tag on every track. Click its icon for icon and colour. Your columns also show in the track's status dropdown, in the list view, the sidebar, the desktop app and the phone app.

Albums have their own columns, made from album tags and genres.
