# Clear a sample

Keep track of who you're chasing to clear each sample, and send the request with a private listen link.
## Find your samples [#find-your-samples]

Open the track, go to **Collaborators**, then **Samples**. Samples still waiting on a yes are listed at the top, with who you're chasing and when to chase again.

To add one, **Choose from project or library** picks the exact file from a synced project or your team's sample libraries, without uploading it again.

## Clear one [#clear-one]

1. **Research** asks ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity who owns the sample and who to contact.
2. **Add contact** saves the person, their label or publisher, their email and when to follow up.
3. **Create listen link** makes a private, listen only link to your song and copies it.
4. **Draft email** opens your mail app with the request written and the link included.
5. **Mark contacted** records the date and plans the next chase a week later.

Overdue follow ups turn red. Once the master and publishing are both set to cleared, the sample leaves the list.
