# Create a download gate

Set up a public download page for a track or album, and choose what fans give to unlock it.
## Create a gate [#create-a-gate]

1. Open **Downloads** in your team sidebar and click **New**. Or pick **Create download gate** in a track's actions menu on the board, with the track already picked.
2. Under **Fans get**, pick a track or album from your catalogue. The link button beside it adds external links. The title fills in from what you picked.
3. Under **Unlock with**, click what fans give in exchange: email, name, phone, socials, lifetime fan or payment. Socials and payment open their own fields.
4. **More** holds the description, dates, contact group, password and a YouTube preview.
5. Save.

The page lives under your public profile. Fans who sign up land in the contact group you chose.

  A paid download needs your team's Polar integration set up first. Files from your catalogue are delivered on free gates only.

## What fans see [#what-fans-see]

1. They open the page from your link or your profile.
2. They fill in what you asked for.
3. They click **Download**. Every file appears at once, named after the track, followed by any external links.
