# Use Aden inside your DAW
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/your-music/daw-projects/daw-plugin

Open your tracks and Aden's listening and drum tools as VST3, Audio Unit or CLAP plugins.
Two plugins come with the Aden desktop app, for FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro and any DAW that takes VST3, Audio Unit or CLAP.

## Aden, on your master [#aden-on-your-master]

An effect that passes sound through untouched. It opens your tracks, notes, lyrics and sessions, and the listening tools. Put it on the master, open the Loudness check, the Key finder or Mix vs reference, press play, then stop: the tool reads what just played.

Open it while a session is live and it opens that session, with its notes and lyrics.

## Aden Drums, as an instrument [#aden-drums-as-an-instrument]

The kick, snare, clap, hi-hat, crash and rumble generators and the drum kit, played from your piano roll.

* A single drum plays on every note, pitched from C4, so it can follow a bassline.
* The kit puts its six drums on the usual drum rack notes: kick on C1, snare on D1.

Every edit reaches the DAW a moment later, and the sound is saved with your project, so it plays offline.

Both plugins open where you left them and follow your project's tempo.

## Install [#install]

* **With the desktop app**: nothing extra. The app installs both plugins and updates them with every Aden update. If your DAW doesn't list them, rescan its plugins.
* **On their own**: the download page has them for macOS and Windows. They don't update themselves; download them again for a new version.

Turn them off in the desktop app under **Settings**, **System**, **DAW plugin**.
