# Get BPM and key
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/your-music/audio-analysis/bpm-and-key

Aden reads the tempo, key, length and waveform of every file you add, and you can correct it.
When you add audio, Aden reads its tempo, musical key, length and waveform on your computer, before the upload finishes.

## Where it fills in [#where-it-fills-in]

* New track, new version, bulk uploads and playlist imports: BPM and key fill in by themselves.
* On a new track, a BPM or key you typed, or one in the file name like "Afterglow 124 Am.wav", wins over the detected one.
* The track shows the pair from its final version, or the latest one, under **Details** in its side panel.

## Read it again [#read-it-again]

In a version's **…** menu, choose **Analyze**, then **Analyze BPM and key**. The menu button spins until it's done.

## Fix it by hand [#fix-it-by-hand]

Click the value on the version card or in the track's side panel and type the right one. Silence, a pad without a beat, or a few seconds of sound get no BPM rather than a guess.

## Use it [#use-it]

* Filter your tracks by a **BPM** range or **Key**. See [Search and filter your tracks](/docs/help/your-music/tracks/find-tracks).
* Show BPM and key on the board cards from **Display**.
* To see a song's key change over time and its chords, use the [Key finder](/docs/help/free-tools/key-finder).
