# Plan a session
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/work-together/sessions/plan-a-session

Set up a session with a time, a place, the tracks and the people, from the Sessions page, a chat or ⌘K.
## Create a session [#create-a-session]

1. Open your team's Sessions page and choose **New session**.
2. Give it a title, or leave it and Aden names it after the people you invite.
3. Set the start, then type how long it runs in the field beside it: 2h, 90 min, 3 days, until Sunday 6pm.
4. Choose **Add location** to pick a studio room or venue, add a note, or add the call link.
5. Fill in the tabs as you need:
   * **Overview**: the goal, a description, inspiration links and a playlist.
   * **Tracks**: the tracks and album you'll work on, or create new ones here.
   * **Participants**: who's coming and their roles.
6. Create it.

A phrase with several days, like "every day until Friday" or "Mon to Fri 10am to 6pm", creates a series: one session per day with the same tracks and people. Invites go out once.

<Callout>
  Everyone gets a reminder the day before and an hour before, with the time in their own time zone. Turn them off in your account's notification settings.
</Callout>

## Start one from a chat [#start-one-from-a-chat]

Type /new session in a chat, then a name and a day: "/new session vocals for Nova on friday 3pm". Press Enter. The session's card lands in the chat, where people accept or decline and join the call from 15 minutes before.

A message proposing a day offers **Start a session** too, and a group chat's menu has it.

## Start one in a hurry [#start-one-in-a-hurry]

* **Start recording** in ⌘K or the sidebar's add menu starts a solo session and records straight away.
* In ⌘K, type "session with" and a name to start one with that person or team filled in.
* In the desktop app, **Start session** on the project open in your DAW starts one about its track.

## For organisations [#for-organisations]

An organisation's Sessions page works the same, with each row naming its team. An organisation can add an administration fee with a note on what it covers.
