# Add a show you play or host
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/work-together/events/create-an-event

Create an event with its date, venue, deal and tickets, ask to play a show already on Aden, and find it on your profile.
## Create an event [#create-an-event]

1. Open your team's events and choose **New event**.
2. Pick **Playing** for a show you perform at, or **Hosting** for a show you organise. Hosting adds a guest list and a door scanner.
3. Fill in the tabs:
   * **Details**: name, date and cover. Type a date like "next Friday 8pm".
   * **Location**: the venue and city.
   * **Booking**: status, fee, follow up dates, private notes, who sees it publicly, and the contract. Drop in up to five contract files.
   * **Day-of timing**: load in, soundcheck, doors, set and end.
   * **Tickets & extras**: the ticket link and reservations.
4. Save. Once the booking is confirmed and public, the show appears on your profile.

To mark a show sold out or cancelled, edit it. A sold out show offers a waiting list.

## Ask to play a show on Aden [#ask-to-play-a-show-on-aden]

In **Playing**, use **Find it** to search upcoming shows on Aden by name, venue or city. Pick one, choose your role and press **Ask to play**. The host accepts or declines, and the show is in your events marked as requested until then.

## Find and change your shows [#find-and-change-your-shows]

The events page has search, **Filters**, status tabs and **Display**, which switches between recent, list, board and calendar views. On the board, drag a show to change its status.

Right click a show for the same actions as its menu: edit, open the public or ticket page, post or send a campaign about it, or delete it with Undo.

On the event's page, sections like **Details**, **People**, **Setlist**, **Tasks**, **Contracts** and **Media** keep everything about the show together. Click any value to edit it.

## Your shows on your profile [#your-shows-on-your-profile]

Your profile's events tab lists every show, upcoming first and past below. **Group by tour** shows them under their tours. Each public show has its own page with tickets, lineup and photos. **Preview public page** on your events page opens it.
