# Turn comments into to-dos

Post feedback as a task with an owner and a deadline, and see what is still open on a version.
A version's to-dos live in its comments, so the feedback and the work stay together.

## Post a comment as a to-do [#post-a-comment-as-a-to-do]

1. Press the to-do button in the composer, or open the arrow beside **Comment** and choose **Create to-do**.
2. Assign people and set a deadline if you like.
3. Post it.

You can also type / in the composer for quick commands, such as a to-do.

## Make an existing comment a to-do [#make-an-existing-comment-a-to-do]

Hover a top level comment and press the list button. The comment now shows a task row: tick it, assign someone, set a deadline, or delete the task to turn it back into a plain comment.

The to-do also shows on the track's task lists.

## See what is still open [#see-what-is-still-open]

The **To-dos** button above the thread shows how many are open and narrows the thread to them.

On the phone, use the checklist button beside the message box, or long press send.
