# Log time on your work

Record how long you or a collaborator spent on a track, version, milestone or task, and see the total.
Every entry is tied to what the time went into, so the total on a track is broken down by version, milestone and task.

## Log time on a track [#log-time-on-a-track]

1. Open a track and find **Time tracked** in the side panel.
2. Type how long, like 2h 30m, 1.5h or 45m.
3. Add a note and pick who the time is for, if it isn't you.
4. Pick where it goes: the track, a version, a milestone or a task. Press Enter.

To log on one version, open the version's menu and choose **Log time**.

Choose **Custom…** in the person picker to credit someone who isn't on Aden, by name and email.

## Edit or delete an entry [#edit-or-delete-an-entry]

Hover an entry and use its menu.

## Other ways to log [#other-ways-to-log]

* When you end a session, **Wrap up** splits its time across the tracks you worked on.
* In the desktop app, Aden notices how long your DAW was open and offers to log it from Home.
