# Create your first team
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/start-here/onboarding/create-your-team

Set up your artist team in a few steps, with your profile and catalogue pulled in from Spotify or SoundCloud.
The setup opens the first time you sign in. A live preview on the right shows your workspace as you fill it in. Your place is kept, so a refresh or coming back later picks up on the same step.

You and your team are separate. You are the person, with your own name and picture. The team is the artist or project, with its own name, page and tracks. Releasing under your own name is fine.

## Walk through the steps [#walk-through-the-steps]

1. **Basics.** Type your artist or team name, your aden.space handle, and your country and city. Add an avatar, banner and brand colours right on the preview.
2. **Import.** Paste your Spotify artist link, SoundCloud profile, Linktree or website. Your name, artwork, colours, genres and social links come back filled in. Or press **Continue** and type it yourself.
3. **Details.** Add genres and a bio, invite members by email with a role, and add your team's email addresses. Under **Who you work with**, list your label, management or agency; each becomes a request to connect with your team.
4. **Review.** Pick **How your workspace opens**: **Simple** (your team is the whole app) or **Songwriter** (a personal space above your teams). You can switch later with **Minimal workspace** in the account menu.
5. Click **Create team**.

When it is ready, the screen shows your public page and website links. Pick **Start tour** for a quick walkthrough, or **Skip**.

## Bring your catalogue from Spotify [#bring-your-catalogue-from-spotify]

1. On the basics step, click the **Spotify** tile.
2. Paste your artist link, or type your name and pick yourself.
3. Leave the import boxes ticked to bring in your tracks from every store, your remixes and bootlegs from SoundCloud and YouTube, and your albums with their tracks linked.

Wrong artist? Click **Change** to search again.

## Bring your tracks from SoundCloud [#bring-your-tracks-from-soundcloud]

Click the **SoundCloud** tile instead and pick your profile. Public tracks come in after setup. For private uploads, connect SoundCloud from Import afterwards.

## Moving from another app [#moving-from-another-app]

At signup you can say which apps you are leaving. Pick Dropbox or Google Drive and your new team opens on that import first.

## Not ready yet [#not-ready-yet]

Click **Skip** at any point. The setup stays away for 30 days.

Added to an organisation as a manager? You go straight to the organisation and never need an artist team. An

  **Artist workspace**

link in the sidebar takes you across if you release music too.
