# Set AI rules and guidance

Tell the assistant about your team, and set the rules it and your bots always follow.
## Give the assistant guidance [#give-the-assistant-guidance]

1. Open your team's **Settings → Chats**.
2. Under **Guidance**, write what the assistant should know: "We are an indie electronic duo from Berlin. Always reply in English. Keep it casual."
3. Save. The assistant uses it in every conversation for that team.

## Set AI rules [#set-ai-rules]

Aden decides which models exist and what each plan includes. Within that, a team or organisation sets its own **AI rules**:

* which models people may use (Aden's default model always stays on)
* keeping out models that may train on what you type
* whether the AI may use connected apps like Gmail or Notion
* what bots may do, and whether only admins make bots
* rules every answer follows, like "Never share royalty splits outside the team"

For a team, open **Settings → Chats**. For an organisation, open its **Settings**.

Team admins and organisation owners and admins can change them. Nobody can talk the AI past them. Anything a rule turns off shows as disabled, naming who set it.
