# Transfers

Send files to anyone with a download link that expires, like WeTransfer built into Aden.
A transfer is a bundle of files behind one download link. Add a title, a message, a password or your own link address, send it to people or to a team you work with, and see who downloaded what. The link stays live for a number of days that depends on your plan.

To have someone send files to you instead, use an [upload link](/docs/help/release-share/upload-links).
