# Release and share an album

Make an album public, mark it released so your fans get it, and send a private link to chosen tracks.
## Make it public [#make-it-public]

Set the album's visibility to public in the sidebar. Its public page shows the cover, the listen links and the tracklist in one card. Each track links to its own page once it is released. The tracks play on the streaming services the album links to, not on the page.

## Mark it released [#mark-it-released]

When the album is ready, set its status:

* **Ready to be released** when it is scheduled for a date.
* **Released** when it is out.

Once released or scheduled, Aden can save it to the library of your lifetime fans on Spotify. See [Save every release to your fans](/docs/help/release-share/releases/lifetime-fans).

## Send a private link [#send-a-private-link]

1. Press **Share** at the bottom of the album's sidebar.
2. For each track, choose what the link shows: all versions, the final version only, or nothing.
3. Turn **See cover art** on or off to show or hide the artwork.
4. Set downloads, comments and the other options, and create the link.
