# Connect your own domain
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/promote/team-website/connect-a-domain

Put your profile, website or a single release on a domain you own.
A custom domain puts your Aden pages on your own address, like martingarrix.com or links.mylabel.com. Aden handles the certificate for you.

## Connect a domain for your team [#connect-a-domain-for-your-team]

1. Open **Domains** in your team. Organisations use **Domains** in their settings.
2. Click **Add existing** and type the domain, without http or [www](http://www).
3. Add the records the setup guide shows where you bought the domain. They usually work within minutes, sometimes a few hours.
4. Click **Verify**. Once it turns green, the domain is live.
5. Use the **Website** switch to choose what the domain opens: on for your website, off for your profile.

<Callout>
  If your domain's records are managed in Cloudflare, set them to DNS only (the grey cloud). Proxied records stop verification.
</Callout>

## Connect a domain for one release, show or tour [#connect-a-domain-for-one-release-show-or-tour]

1. Open the event, tour, track or album, and find its **Custom domain** card.
2. Type the domain and press **Connect**.
3. Add the one record the card shows where you bought the domain. Copy buttons give you its name and value.
4. Leave the page open or come back later. It turns **Live** by itself.

## Good to know [#good-to-know]

* With several domains, the oldest is your main address and the others point to it.
* Your aden.space address keeps working.
* Removing a domain detaches it straight away. Clean up the records where you bought it yourself.
