# Unlock features by inviting people

Each person you invite opens a feature on the Free plan, and five sign ups earn your team a year of Air.
## Every invite opens a feature [#every-invite-opens-a-feature]

On the Free plan, some features open as you invite people:

* **1 invite**: team chat.
* **2 invites**: receiving demos and lifetime fans.
* **3 invites**: analytics and documents.

The invite dialog and **Account → Referrals** show the ladder and where you are on it.

An invite is anyone you emailed a way into Aden: from the invite dialog, a team invitation, a transfer to someone without an account, or a contact you added. Each person counts once.

On a paid plan, or one your label or organisation pays for, all of this is already yours. The free trial is the exception: it opens uploads and everything else, but chat, demos, fans, analytics and documents still wait for invites.

## Five friends, a year of Air [#five-friends-a-year-of-air]

1. Open **Account → Referrals** and share your referral link.
2. Anyone who signs up through it shows in the table underneath.
3. Once five of them count, Air is unlocked on your team for a year. There's nothing to claim.

A friend counts when they sign up with their own email and phone number, on their own device, and actually open Aden. The table shows which invites count.

If you already pay for a plan, the card says so instead of showing a goal. A reward you already earned waits for you if your plan ever lapses.
