# Post to each platform

Give one account its own caption, and update or remove a post after it went out.
## Give an account its own caption [#give-an-account-its-own-caption]

1. In the post, find the account under **Publish to** and open its **…** menu.
2. Choose to write a caption for that platform, such as a shorter one for X or a longer one for LinkedIn. The counter counts the way that platform does.
3. To go back to the shared caption, choose **Use the post's caption**.

## If a publish isn't confirmed [#if-a-publish-isnt-confirmed]

Sometimes a platform takes the post but the connection drops before it answers, so the post may already be live. Aden never sends it again blind. The account shows **Check**:

* Confirm it's there to count it as published.
* Or press **Send again**.

## Change a post that's out [#change-a-post-thats-out]

Edit the caption, and **Update** appears for accounts whose platform lets apps change a post: Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Mastodon, Telegram and Discord.

## Take a post down [#take-a-post-down]

Use the remove option in the account's menu to delete the post on that platform, with a few seconds to undo. It works on X, Bluesky, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Mastodon, Telegram and Discord. Elsewhere the option stays greyed out with the reason.
