# Add and import contacts
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/promote/contacts/add-and-import-contacts

Add people one by one, or bring in hundreds from a spreadsheet, Google Contacts or the people you've emailed.
## Add one person [#add-one-person]

1. Open **Contacts** in your team and add a contact.
2. Fill in their name, email, phone and role.
3. Use **Notes** on their page for what stays true about them: who their manager is, what they asked for last time. Dated things like calls belong on their [timeline](/docs/help/promote/contacts/keep-a-timeline).

## Import many at once [#import-many-at-once]

Open the import from the add contact button. Organisations have the same importer in their **Contacts**. Pick a source:

* **Spreadsheet files (CSV)**: drag in one or more files. For each, choose which column goes to which field. Aden fills in the ones it recognises, including LinkedIn exports, and marks its guesses so you can reject them. Columns with no matching field can come in as custom fields.
* **Google Contacts**: connect your Google account and pull in your address book, including your Google groups. Only contacts with an email address come across.
* **People you've emailed**: with Google connected, scan your sent mail. Aden lists everyone you've written to, most emailed first, leaving out people you already have and automatic addresses. It never reads your messages.

Before anything is saved, Aden checks every row for spam and duplicates, and you can edit any row.

## Import into a group [#import-into-a-group]

Pick or create a group for every imported contact. Everyone on the list joins it, including people you already had (they aren't added twice). Then send a campaign to that group.
