# Get found on Discover

Appear in Aden's public directory of artists and music people, share your city, or stay off it.
Discover is a public directory of artists, music professionals, labels, studios and venues on Aden. Anyone can search it by name, filter by type, genre or country, and switch between a grid and a map.

## Appear on Discover [#appear-on-discover]

Public profiles are listed by default. Fill in your genres, city and country so the right people find you in filters and on the map.

## Share the city you're in [#share-the-city-youre-in]

Let people nearby find you to meet up.

1. Open **Account → Public profile** and find "Where you are". In the phone app, it's under your profile's account settings.
2. Turn on **Show my city on Discover**. On the web, your city comes from your recent Aden activity. If it's wrong, **Use precise location** asks your device instead.
3. After travelling, press **Update my location**.

Only your city and country are shared, never your exact location. It's off by default, and turning it off removes your city straight away. Past cities are kept in a private history only you can see and delete.

## Stay off Discover [#stay-off-discover]

* **Team**: turn off the public profile in team settings.
* **Your own profile**: turn off your public profile in account settings.
* **Organisation**: turn off **Show on discover** in organisation settings. The organisation's page still works by direct link.
