# Seat writers in rooms

Fill the whole week in one click, set who writes together, then adjust by hand and send everyone their schedule.
**Sessions** is who sits where. Each room on each day is one session. Seat people by hand, let Aden fill the week, or do both.

## Say what each room needs [#say-what-each-room-needs]

Give each room its roles, like 1 producer, 1 topliner and 2 songwriters, or make one an R\&B room and another a pop room. Open a room's menu and choose **Edit roles**, or set them for **Every room** under **Settings → Sessions**.

If the people coming can't fill what the rooms ask, the issues chip in the toolbar says what's short and offers a fix, like adding someone with that role.

## Fill the week [#fill-the-week]

1. Seat anyone who must be in a set place first: drag them from **People** onto a room.
2. Click **Fill the week**.
3. Add pair rules: pick two people and choose **Never with** or **Write with**.
4. Write any other rules in your own words, like "Producers keep their room all day". Type @ to name a person and # for a genre.
5. Click **Fill the week**.

Aden fills each room's roles first, then seats everyone so they meet as many new people as possible. The seats you placed stay. The message after says how many people meet twice, with **Undo**. **Start over** fills from scratch instead.

Nobody is seated on a day they don't come, and people set to **Not in sessions** are left out.

## Adjust by hand [#adjust-by-hand]

* Drag a person to another room, or back to **People** to unseat them.
* A seat's move button lists the day's rooms, best fit first, with why: "Needs pianist", "Met Senne before", "Busy then".
* Switch views: **Week**, **Columns**, **Rooms**, **By person** and **One day**. **By person** shows each writer's week and who they met.
* Someone in two rooms at once gets a warning. The issues chip counts every problem, and **Fix with AI** suggests a fix.

## Ask for a change [#ask-for-a-change]

Type in the search box on **Sessions** and click **Ask AI**: "Anna joins on Wednesday", "Keep Bob and Sam apart". Aden proposes the fewest changes, each with its reason. Drop the ones you don't want, then apply the rest, or **Discard** the lot. You can ask questions too, like "who moved Anna?".

## Go back to an earlier lineup [#go-back-to-an-earlier-lineup]

**History** keeps every lineup that a fill, an AI change or a restore replaced. Click one to preview it, then **Restore this**, or **Back to current**.

## Send the schedule [#send-the-schedule]

In the toolbar's **⋯** menu:

* **Send schedule** emails everyone their own sessions, day by day. You see the email and the list first.
* **Export PDF** downloads the week to print or hang on the studio door.
* **Export spreadsheet** gives one row per session for Excel or Sheets.
