# Join a camp as a writer

For invited writers: accept your invite, find your room and co-writers, and follow your week on the web or your phone.
Invited to a writers camp? This page is for you. There's nothing to set up first.

## Accept your invite [#accept-your-invite]

1. Open the link in your invite email.
2. If the invite includes a document to sign, sign it first.
3. Click **Accept invite**, or **Decline**. You don't need an account to answer.
4. To see your room and week, click **Create an account** or **Sign in**, with the email the invite went to.

Already signed in with that email? The link takes you straight into the camp.

## Claim your spot [#claim-your-spot]

Got a claim link instead of an invite? The organisers added you by name.

1. Open the link and search your name.
2. Click **Claim spot**.
3. Sign in, or create an account with any email.

The spot is yours, with every session already planned for you. Not on the list? Ask the organisers to add you.

## Apply through a signup page [#apply-through-a-signup-page]

1. Open the camp's link. No login needed.
2. Fill in your name, email and what you play, then the organisers' questions and a note.
3. Not coming every day? Say which days on the last step.
4. Click **Apply**, or **Join** if the camp lets people in straight away.

Signed in, you can sign up with your team and tick who comes with you. **Check your calendar** shows events that clash with the camp. Aden never adds anything to your calendar. You'll hear back by email.

## Change or cancel your application [#change-or-cancel-your-application]

Open the signup page again while signed in. Your ticket shows your status. Under **Your answers**, click any row to change your roles, days, answers or note. The organisers are told what changed.

To leave, choose **Opt out** in the ticket's menu. You see what the camp's cancellation policy charges today before you confirm. You can apply again later if there's room.

## Your camp space [#your-camp-space]

Open the camp from **Camps** in your workspace.

* **Today**: your room, who you write with, and the day's timeline, with the current block marked.
* **Week**: your room and co-writers each day.
* **Schedule**: the whole camp week.
* **People**: everyone on the camp, and the days you share a room.
* **Files**: what the organisers shared with you.

After the camp, **Recap** lists the tracks you wrote, how many people you met and which songs were picked. **Second life** holds the tracks the organisers dropped, with their note on what you may do with them.

The camp shows on your Aden calendar and your team's calendar, in calendar feeds, and in the Aden phone app. Nobody's email is shown to other writers.
