# Invite writers to a camp
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/organisations/writers-camps/invite-writers

Add people by name or email, send personal invites, or share one link where people claim their own spot.
Everyone on a camp is on its **People** page. You can add people without inviting them yet, so you can line up the roster, seat everyone, and send the invites when you're ready.

## Add people [#add-people]

1. Open the camp, go to **People** and click **Add people**.
2. Type a name, an email or an @handle. People in your business and its teams show first. Pick a team to add all its members.
3. Got a list? Paste it, one person per line, like "Anna" or "Anna [anna@mail.com](mailto:anna@mail.com)". Or click **Import** to read a spreadsheet, a contact file, a PDF or a photo of a list.
4. Use the **+** on a row to add an email, a role, a genre, the **Days** they come or a **Note**. Nothing is required.
5. Leave **Send camp invite** on and click **Add and invite**, or switch it off to add people without emailing anyone.

Roles and genres matter: they decide who gets seated where. For staff, A\&R or managers who come but don't write, choose **Not in sessions**.

## Send personal invites [#send-personal-invites]

On **People**, click **Invite N people** to email everyone who isn't invited yet. You see the email before it goes and can take anyone off the list. Each person gets their own link. They can accept without an Aden account.

<Callout>
 In a draft camp, the first invite publishes the camp. Aden asks before it does.
</Callout>

The roster shows where each person stands: **Not invited**, **Invited**, **Registered** or **Joined**. Use **Filter** to see one group.

## Let people claim their spot [#let-people-claim-their-spot]

Often you know who's coming but not their email. Add them by name only. They're on the roster straight away, and you can already seat them.

1. Open the chevron next to **Invite N people** and choose **Copy claim link**.
2. Share the link in your group chat or email.
3. Each person opens it, searches their name and clicks **Claim spot**. They sign in or create an account with any email.

The spot becomes theirs, with every session you planned for them. A room's menu on **Sessions** has **Copy session link**: the same page, listing only that room's people.

If someone claims the wrong name, open their row menu and choose **Unlink account**.

## Look after the roster [#look-after-the-roster]

* Click a person to open their sheet: roles, genres, email, days, payment and their week.
* Someone without an email? Click **Add email** under their name, then send their invite.
* Tick several people to invite them, send them the schedule, or remove them together.
