# Create a business

Set up your label, publisher, studio or agency on Aden, say what kind it is, and choose which one opens first.
## Create one [#create-one]

1. Open the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar.
2. Under **Businesses**, click **New business**.
3. Enter the business name and finish the form.

Aden already lists many well-known labels, distributors and rights organisations. A new business you add is checked by the Aden team before it shows in the directory.

  Did an artist invite your business? Open the link in their email instead. It sets the business up for you and connects it to their team in one go.

## Say what kind of business it is [#say-what-kind-of-business-it-is]

Open your business's **Settings → Entity types** and pick what you are: label, distributor, publisher, rights organisation, studio, management, booking agency, coach, brand and more. You can pick several.

This decides two things: how artists find you when they search for partners, and what a team shares with you by default when they connect. A coach, for example, gets goals and feedback, never finances or contracts.

## Choose your default business [#choose-your-default-business]

Opening your businesses takes you straight into your default one. Your first business is the default.

To change it:

1. Open the workspace switcher.
2. Open the &#x2A;*⋯** menu on a business.
3. Choose **Set as default**.
