## What it is [#what-it-is]

The links page runs in one direction: you tell Aden where your Instagram,
TikTok and SoundCloud profiles are. Profile backlinks run the other way. They
get `aden.space/@yourslug` into those profiles, so someone who finds you on
Instagram can reach your music in one tap.

They live under the profile link card on your **Links** page, one row per
platform you have filled in.

## Using it [#using-it]

**Open editor.** Click it on any row. Two things happen: your profile URL goes
on your clipboard, and that platform's own profile editor opens in a new tab.
Paste the link there and save.

Put the link in the platform's **links** field, not in the bio text. Bio text
is not tappable on Instagram or TikTok, so a URL typed into the paragraph is
just a string people have to retype. Instagram allows up to five links.

**Mark it done.** The circle on the right is yours to tick. Nothing on the
internet will tell Aden what is in your bio, so this is you keeping your own
record, and you can untick it if you take the link back out.

## What you will not see [#what-you-will-not-see]

Only platforms with a stable profile editor get a row: Instagram, TikTok, X,
YouTube, SoundCloud and Twitch. The rest are left out rather than shown with a
button that lands somewhere unhelpful.

Aden cannot fill your bio in for you. No platform offers a link that opens the
editor with text already in it, and the one API that can write a bio
(Instagram's, for Business and Creator accounts on a linked Facebook Page)
would exclude every artist on a personal account. Copy and paste is the whole
of what is possible here, so that is what the button does well.
