# DAW project viewer
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/more/daw-project-viewer

A free tool at tools.aden.space/daw (also daw.aden.space). Drop an FL Studio, Ableton Live, REAPER, DAWproject, Studio One or Bitwig project, or its folder, to see its tempo, key, tracks, plugins and samples and hear its arrangement in the browser. Save the song to Aden with its bounce and its project files.

## What it is [#what-it-is]

Open a DAW project without the DAW. Open `tools.aden.space/daw` (or
`daw.aden.space`), or search "flp" or "project" in ⌘K. No account needed, and
the project never leaves your browser.

## Using it [#using-it]

* **Drop a project file**, or press **Open a project**. Its tempo, key and
meter show beside its name, and the arrangement loads to play.
* **Drop the whole folder** (or **Open a folder**) to hear its samples too.
* **Samples saved somewhere else** (a sample library, another drive): a
project only remembers where they sat on the computer that saved it, and
a browser can't look there. **Add missing samples** shows how many are
missing; pick the folder they're in (or drop it on the project, or pick
the files from **…**) and they join the project. Details names the
folders they were saved in. Nothing is uploaded.
* **Details** lists every track or channel, the plugins (third-party and
stock), the samples, notes, clips and markers. Press a sample's cover to
hear it, from the folder you dropped; **Show all** lists all of them.
**Search this project** narrows the channels, plugins and samples at once
(a sample also matches by the folder it was saved in).
* **Play** the arrangement, click the ruler or a lane to jump, zoom and solo
 lanes. Plugins only run in your DAW, so a stand-in sound plays their notes;
the **i** beside the time says what sounds different.
* **Save to Aden** opens Aden in a new tab on a new track with the project's
tempo and key. It takes the bounce named like the project from the folder
("Afterglow\.wav" beside "Afterglow\.flp"), or asks you to pick one. Once the track is created,
everything you dropped lands in its **Project files**, linked to that
version, so moving clips and recording vocals work right away. Signed out,
you sign up first in that tab and both wait through signup.
