# Ad performance
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/more/ad-performance

Connect Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and Spotify ad accounts, or import a report, and follow every ad and post by pillar (awareness, conversion, fans) as cards, a timeline or a funnel, per team and per track.

## What it is [#what-it-is]

One place to follow your promotion wherever it runs. Analytics has an
**Ads** tab that puts every ad and every published post into three pillars.
A track's own Analytics shows the same card for the ads and posts that
promote it.

## Pillars [#pillars]

* **Awareness**: getting heard. Judged by impressions and the cost per
  1,000.
* **Conversion**: getting the click to Spotify, a presave or a link. Judged
by clicks and the cost per click.
* **Fans**: turning listeners into followers and saves. Judged by results
  and the cost per result.

Aden picks each ad's and post's pillar for you. Change it with the pillar
picker on its row.

## Three views [#three-views]

* **Pillars**: a card per pillar with its number, cost and trend. Pick a
card to narrow the list below to it.
* **Timeline**: a lane per pillar. Ads are bars over the days they ran,
posts are dots on the day they went out, releases are dashed lines.
* **Funnel**: how many people moved from seeing to clicking to becoming a
fan, where the spend went, and a nudge when one pillar gets almost none.

## Getting results in [#getting-results-in]

* **Connect an ad account** in Apps & integrations, under Ads: Meta Ads
(Instagram and Facebook), TikTok for Business, Google Ads (YouTube and
Search) and Spotify Ads. Aden reads results only. It never creates, edits
or pauses a campaign. A new account fills in its last 90 days; after that
  results update every night.
* **Import a report** from the Ads tab: a CSV export broken down by day and
campaign, from Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Ads, Ad Studio or
Spotify for Artists (Marquee and Showcase have no API, so this is how they
get in). Importing the same days again replaces them.

## Results and tracks [#results-and-tracks]

A result is a click from the ad through to its destination: the platform's
link clicks. Cost per result is spend divided by results. Each campaign is
matched to a track when its name contains the track title; change it with
the track picker on the campaign's row.
