# AI track search

A list's search box has an AI mode (click the magnifier to swap it for sparkles) where a natural-language request ("released pop from 2024 as a board by genre") converts into the page's real filters and display settings on submit. A query that matches nothing offers the AI on the next Enter, in the toolbar, the sidebar panel and the filter popover. Tracks, albums and the leads pipeline run on it.

## Search by describing what you want [#search-by-describing-what-you-want]

Click the magnifier in the tracks or albums search box to switch to AI
search (the sparkles icon). Type what you want to see in plain words, like "unreleased
hip hop with no label from last year", and press Enter: the request turns
into real filters and view settings you can inspect, adjust or share, same
as if you'd clicked them yourself.

* **Filters it can set**: status, genre, tags, label, distributor,
  priority, language, public/private, for sale, and date ranges.
* **Views too**: ask for "as a board by genre" or "as a list grouped by
  tags" and the display switches along.
* **When a search finds nothing**, the magnifier turns into sparkles by
  itself: press Enter again and the same words go to the AI instead. The
  filter popover does the same when what you typed matches no filter name.
* A running search can be stopped: hover the spinner and press the stop
  button.
* Click the sparkles to go back to plain search at any time.
* On the mobile app, tap the magnifier in the tracks or albums search bar
  for the same AI mode; applied filters show as removable chips. In the
  search tab, an "Ask AI" row turns your query into filters and opens the
  matching list.
