## What it is [#what-it-is]

After you import your catalogue from Spotify or SoundCloud, the paperwork
around those songs is still scattered on your computer: contracts, cover art,
royalty statements, DAW project files. Smart file matching reads the file
names in a folder you pick and matches each file to the track it is about, so
you can attach everything in one pass instead of uploading file by file.

Aden never scans your disk on its own. It only sees the folder you explicitly
pick, and nothing uploads until you confirm.

## Using it [#using-it]

**For your whole catalogue**: go to Import, open the "Documents" tab and
choose a folder. Files whose names clearly match a track title come ticked;
near-matches are listed for you to check, and you can retarget any file with
the track picker. "Attach" uploads everything selected.

**For one track**: on the track's Files page, open the **Upload** chevron and
choose **Find files on my computer**. The same scan runs against just that
track's title.

Matched files land on each track's Files page, sorted into folders by what
they are: Contracts, Artwork, Royalties, Project files. Plain documents go to
the root.
