## What it is [#what-it-is]

The search command (⌘ K on Mac, Ctrl K on Windows/Linux) is your keyboard-first
way to jump anywhere in Aden, to a track, an album, a playlist, a team, a
tour, or any settings page, without reaching for the sidebar or typing a URL.

It also understands plain English. Type "change my email" or "set up
notifications" and it routes you directly to the right settings page using AI
to understand what you mean.

**Deep search** is available as a fallback when the quick results don't include
what you need. It searches inside track descriptions, lyrics, version names,
milestones, todos, financial records, tour names, event details, and more. All
using the Postgres full-text and trigram indexes. Deep search is a **Pro**
feature; the palette itself, its instant results and the plain-English routing
work on every plan.

**Saved views** let you bookmark a set of filters on any list page (tracks,
posts, milestones, …) and recall them in one click. You can save a view just
for yourself or share it with your whole team.

## Using it [#using-it]

### Opening and searching [#opening-and-searching]

* Press **⌘ K** (Mac) or **Ctrl K** (Windows/Linux) from anywhere in the app
  to open the command palette.
* Start typing: results update instantly from your tracks, albums, playlists,
  teams, tours, and events.
* Use the filter pills under the search box (**All**, **This Track** / **This
  Album** / **This Playlist** when you are on that page, **Actions**,
  **Settings**, **Teams**, **Organisations**) to narrow the list. Press **⇧→**
  and **⇧←** (or **→** / **←** at the edge of the query) to cycle filters
  without leaving the keyboard.
* Use **arrow keys** to move through results and **Enter** to open.
* The open palette and its query live in the URL (`?search=your+query`), so a
  reload brings it back exactly as it was.

### Finding a settings page by description [#finding-a-settings-page-by-description]

Type what you want to do ("change my password", "invite a team member",
"set up Spotify"). If a settings page matches, you are taken there directly
or shown it as the top suggestion.

### Looking up your own information [#looking-up-your-own-information]

Some searches aren't about going somewhere. They're about a value you need to
paste into a form somewhere else. Type the name of the field ("IPI number",
"PRO", "team VAT number", "public profile link") and the palette shows the
value itself at the top of the results, with a copy button. It reads your own
account and the team you're in. Nothing else.

If a field is empty, the row says so and takes you to the page where you set
it. Sensitive fields (tax ID, social security number) never show their value in
the palette; the row confirms the field exists and opens the page that shows it.

### Deep search (Pro) [#deep-search-pro]

If the quick results don't show what you need, select **Deep search** (or keep
typing to filter) at the bottom of the palette. Deep search scans track text,
lyrics, version names, milestones, todos, documents, finance entries, tour and
event details: anything that has been indexed across your workspace.

On Free and Air the bottom row shows a **Pro** badge instead of running the
search. Selecting it opens your team's plan page, where upgrading turns the same
row into a live deep search. Everything else in the palette. Jumping to a
track, album, playlist, team or settings page, and the plain-English routing
works on every plan.

### Saving a view [#saving-a-view]

On any filtered list page that shows a **Save view** button:

1. Apply the filters you want (status, date range, assignee, …).
2. Click **Save view** and give it a name.
3. Optionally mark it as your default so those filters load automatically.
4. Optionally share it with your team so every team member sees the same
   preset in their view picker.

To delete or change the default, open the view picker and use the options next
to the saved view's name.
