# Record your screen with meters on top
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/free-tools/screen-studio

Record your screen, camera and sound with live meters over it, then watch your recordings again.
The [Studio](https://tools.aden.space/studio) records your screen, your camera and your sound with the meters drawn on top. Free, no account needed, and nothing leaves your computer until you save it to Aden.

## Record [#record]

1. Open the [Studio](https://tools.aden.space/studio) in Chrome or Edge.
2. Press **Share your screen**, pick a tab, a window or the whole screen, and turn on sharing its audio.
3. Press **Add your camera** to put yourself in a bubble. Drag any layer on the preview to move it, or drag a corner to resize it.
4. Pick a look in **Presets** or **Look**: clean, a 90s PC or a glass tube. **Output** sets landscape or vertical.
5. Press **Record**, and **Stop** when you're done.

You get an MP4 where your browser can, otherwise WebM. It lands in your downloads.

## Watch your recordings [#watch-your-recordings]

Your last 8 recordings stay in this browser, listed under the Studio, newest first.

* **Watch one**: click it.
* **Save it to Aden**: point at it and press the cloud button. Pick a track, your team's media or a post draft.
* **Download it again**: press the download button.
* **Delete it**: press the trash button. **Undo** brings it back.

Clearing your browser's site data clears this list too. The files in your downloads stay.

<Callout>
  The Aden desktop app has the same Studio, and keeps every recording in Downloads/Aden Meters.
