# Stamp a file
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/free-tools/proof-tool/stamp-a-file

Drop any file, add a title and names if you like, and download a signed certificate that it existed today.
Get a signed timestamp for a song, a beat, a project or any other file.

1. Open [Proof of creation](https://tools.aden.space/proof).
2. Drop a file, or press **Choose a file**. Its fingerprint shows under its name. Click it to copy it.
3. Optional: open **Title and names** to add a title and who made it. They go on the certificate exactly as you type them, and nobody checks them.
4. Press **Stamp**. The time appears once the authority has signed.
5. Press **Download certificate**.

<Callout>
  Nothing is kept on our side. Download the certificate before you leave the page.

## What's in the certificate [#whats-in-the-certificate]

The download is a zip with three files:

* a PDF certificate, the readable record
* the exact text that was stamped
* the authority's signed timestamp

Keep the zip with the file it covers. You need both to check it later.

## Limits [#limits]

Without an account you can stamp ten files a day, and five an hour.

## Save the song to Aden [#save-the-song-to-aden]

For audio files, press **Save to Aden** to upload the song as a track. Every version you upload there is stamped by itself, with its credits.
