# Send a contract for signature
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/business/contracts/send-a-contract

Attach an agreement, choose who signs, and track each signature until everyone has signed.
Band agreements, work for hire, venue and crew deals: send them from Aden and get them back signed.

## Before your first contract [#before-your-first-contract]

Open **Account → Contracting** and fill in your legal and business name. Aden uses these details to fill in your contracts.

## Send a contract [#send-a-contract]

1. In your team sidebar, open **Contracts** and press **New contract**.
2. Pick team members, add email addresses for anyone outside your team, or both.
3. Attach the document people read and sign (PDF, PNG or JPG), or write the terms that show on the signing page.
4. Optionally name the other party, such as a venue that isn't on Aden, and set an expiry date.
5. Send. Everyone gets their own private signing link by email, and Aden members also get a notification.

You can raise the same request from a show, a tour or an album. Look for **Invite to sign** there. On a show, each booked act can have its own contract, and the booking switches to signed once it's complete.

<Callout>
  The other party you name only appears on the document. If they need to sign, add them as a signer by email.
</Callout>

## Follow the signatures [#follow-the-signatures]

The contract shows each signer with their status. Once someone signs, you see their signature and the date next to their name. When the last person signs, you get an email and a notification, and the signed PDF, with a signature certificate at the end, is filed with what the contract belongs to.

While nobody has signed, you can remove a signer or the whole request. Once anyone has signed, the request can only be cancelled, so the record stays intact.
