# Sign in and lock the app

Stay signed in on your phone, add Face ID or a passcode on top, and scan Aden invites with the camera.
Once you sign in to the Aden app, you stay signed in. You only sign in again if you sign out, change your password or delete the app.

## Sign in from the web [#sign-in-from-the-web]

Among the sign-in options, tap the globe button. **Continue from web** opens aden.space, where you are usually signed in already, and **Continue to the app** signs the app in. No password to retype.

## Lock the app [#lock-the-app]

1. Open **Profile → Account → Security**.
2. Turn on **Require unlock**. Your phone asks you to confirm once.
3. Pick when the lock kicks in: right away, or after 1, 5 or 15 minutes in the background.

Aden then asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode when you come back. Turning the lock off does not sign you out.

## Scan an invite [#scan-an-invite]

1. Tap the QR button on **Music → Sessions**, or **Scan invite** in your profile.
2. Allow the camera and point it at an Aden QR code.

A valid code opens the invite, to join a session or sign up. Anything else stays on screen so you can try again.
