# Listen offline and upload in the background

Save tracks, albums and files to your phone for no-signal moments, and keep uploads running when you switch apps.
Save music and files to your phone so they work on a plane or in a studio basement. Everything you save is under **Profile → Offline downloads**, with the space it uses.

## Save things offline [#save-things-offline]

* **A track**: use the download action on the track screen. A badge on the cover shows it is saved.
* **An album**: tap **Download** next to Play and Shuffle. Tap **Downloaded** to remove it again.
* **Documents and contracts**: tap the arrow on a document. A green check means it is on your phone.
* **Team media**: long-press an item and choose **Save offline**.

You can also set a swipe on track rows to **Download for offline** under **Account → Swipe actions**.

## Save everything automatically [#save-everything-automatically]

In **Offline downloads**, turn on **Auto-download** to keep your whole team library on your phone. Extra switches add documents and media, limit downloads to wifi and choose which track statuses are saved.

## Keep going in the background [#keep-going-in-the-background]

Start an upload or a download and switch to another app. It keeps running. On iOS 26 and newer, progress shows on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island. On Android, a notification shows it. Both let you stop. A stopped upload saves nothing, so you can start it again later.
