# Send files between your phone and computer
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/apps/mobile/from-your-computer

Slide photos off your phone onto your laptop, and play bounces from your computer on your phone without uploading them.
Your computer only has to be on with the Aden desktop app open, signed in to the same account. It can be locked.

## Slide files to your computer [#slide-files-to-your-computer]

1. On your phone, open **Drop to your computer** from your profile, or search "drop".
2. Your newest photos and videos are listed. Tap **+** to add any other file.
3. Hold one until it lifts, then slide it off the side of the screen your computer is on. Phone to the right of your laptop? Slide left.

To send several, tap each one first, then hold any of them and slide. They go as a pile.

On your computer they come in from that side and land on the drop shelf, saved in Downloads. A check on the photo means it arrived.

## Play a bounce from your computer [#play-a-bounce-from-your-computer]

1. Open Search on your phone. A row offers to search your computer by name.
2. Tap it and type. Matching audio files are listed.
3. Tap one to play it. Your computer sends a lighter copy that is deleted within a day.

With search by content on in the desktop app, you can also describe what you want ("split sheet", "the voice memo about the bridge") and find sounds, images and documents that match.

## Turn it off [#turn-it-off]

On your computer, turn off **Phone access** in the Inbox settings in Links, or search "phone access" in ⌘K.
