# Add any app to Aden's chat

Connect another app's tools so Aden's assistant and your bots can use them in every chat.
Any app that has an MCP server can join your team's chat, not only the ones listed: an automation hub, your distributor's agent, a tool you built. Aden's assistant and your bots can then use its tools.

## Connect it [#connect-it]

1. Open your team's **Apps & integrations** and pick **Custom app**.
2. Paste the app's server address. It starts with https. Look in the app's settings under MCP, AI or integrations. Add a name if you like.
3. If the app gave you an API key, paste it too. Otherwise leave it empty; if the app needs a sign-in, Aden sends you to it.

The assistant can now use the app's tools. To let a bot use it too, pick it under the bot's **Uses apps**.

Connect as many as you like. Each one has its own **Details** page with its list of tools, and **Disconnect** removes it.

## Choose which tools it may use [#choose-which-tools-it-may-use]

For any connected app with tools, including Notion, GitHub or Slack, open its details and go to its tools. Turn individual tools on or off. A tool that is off is never offered to the assistant.
