# Record your screen

Record your screen, camera and the meters together in the Studio, then keep the video in Aden.
The Studio's picture is the video you record. Open it from the meters, as described in [Aden Meters](/docs/help/apps/desktop/meters).

## Record [#record]

1. Switch to **Studio**. For a whole look in one click, pick one on the **Presets** tab (see [Studio presets and themes](/docs/help/apps/desktop/meters/studio-presets)). Press **Share your screen**. Pick a screen, window or tab, with its audio.
2. On the **Scene** tab, under **Sources**, add your camera and microphone, or **Add a window** (up to three).
3. Under **Layout**, pick **Bubble**, **Split** or **Camera first**, then drag anything on the preview. The corner handle resizes.
4. On the **Look** tab, pick **Clean** or an 80s, 90s or 2000s computer. Under **Color**, set brightness, contrast and more for everything or one layer.
5. Under **Stickers**, click a sticker, or **Add photo or video**, then drag it anywhere. Select one and press Delete to remove it.
6. Click the size and frame rate beside **Record** to change them. To edit in another app, turn on **Save layers separately** on the **Output** tab.
7. Press **Record**, then **Stop**. The preview is the video. Aden makes the file smaller before it saves; **Skip** keeps it as recorded.

## Save a recording to Aden [#save-a-recording-to-aden]

Every recording saves to your downloads first. To keep it in Aden:

1. Press **Save to Aden** under the Studio (in the desktop app, also in the message after a take).
2. Pick the team if you are on more than one.
3. Choose where it goes: a **Track**'s media, your team's **Media**, or a **Post draft** (give it a title and, if you like, link a track).
4. Press **Save**. Aden opens what you saved.

## Find your recordings [#find-your-recordings]

In the desktop app, press **Studio** on the side rail, or search for "Recordings".

1. Type in **Search recordings** to find one by name, and click it to watch.
2. Point at a recording for **Save to Aden**, **Show in folder** and **Delete**. Deleted the wrong one? Press **Undo**.
3. **New recording** opens the Studio.
