# Control your computer with your hand
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/apps/desktop/hand-control

Move the pointer with your webcam, pointing in the air or using your desk as a trackpad.
Hand control lets you use your computer without touching the trackpad. Your webcam watches one hand and moves the pointer anywhere on screen, in any app. The picture never leaves your computer.

## Turn it on [#turn-it-on]

* Press **⌘⇧H** (Ctrl+Shift+H on Windows and Linux).
* Or search "hand control" in ⌘K.
* Or switch it on in **Settings → General**.

The first time, allow Aden to use the camera. A small camera preview appears in a corner; drag it anywhere. To move the pointer in other apps on a Mac, press **Allow** in the preview and add Aden under Accessibility.

## Air mode [#air-mode]

* **Move**: point with your index finger.
* **Click**: pinch thumb and index finger, then let go. Pinch twice to double click.
* **Drag**: pinch, hold and move. Let go to drop.
* **Scroll**: pinch thumb and middle finger and move up or down.

## Desk mode [#desk-mode]

Choose **Desk** in the preview. The first time, drag the four corners over a patch of desk in the picture, then **Done**. Change it later with "Select desk area" in ⌘K.

* **Move**: slide your index finger over the area.
* **Click**: tap the desk. Tap twice to double click.
* **Drag**: tap, then touch again and move.
* **Scroll**: move two fingers held together.

## Turn it off [#turn-it-off]

Press Escape or **⌘⇧H** from any app, **Stop** in the preview, or "Stop hand control" in ⌘K. The camera turns off with it. Using your own mouse pauses it for a moment.
