# Sync playlists to your DJ apps
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/apps/desktop/dj-sync

Send Aden playlists into rekordbox, Serato, Traktor or Virtual DJ, and bring your crates into Aden.
**DJ** in the desktop sidebar lists every crate on your computer from rekordbox, Serato, Traktor and Virtual DJ, next to your team's Aden playlists. A crate and its Aden copy are one row.

## Send a playlist to your DJ apps [#send-a-playlist-to-your-dj-apps]

1. Open **DJ**.
2. Turn on **In DJ apps** on an Aden playlist.

Aden downloads the final version of each of your tracks in the best quality stored. A new final replaces the file in place, so your cue points stay. Turn the switch off to take the playlist out of your DJ apps; the playlist and audio stay.

The first row, **Latest from** your team, holds your 30 newest tracks. Turn it on and new tracks and finals keep landing in your DJ apps on their own.

## Where it shows up [#where-it-shows-up]

* **Serato**: an Aden crate folder appears by itself.
* **Virtual DJ**: playlists starting with "Aden" appear in Playlists.
* **rekordbox**: once, under Preferences > Advanced > rekordbox xml > Imported Library, pick the rekordbox xml file in the Aden folder inside Music. Your playlists then show under rekordbox xml, with BPM and key.
* **Traktor** and others: import the playlist files from the Aden folder inside Music.

## Bring a crate into Aden [#bring-a-crate-into-aden]

Each row says which side is behind:

* **Only in rekordbox** (or another app): **Add to Aden** makes it an Aden crate. Your own tracks link to the real tracks.
* **New in rekordbox**: **Update Aden** adds only the new tracks.
* **Newer in Aden**: **Update files** fetches new finals.

Tick several rows and press **Sync** to run them together.

## Inside a crate [#inside-a-crate]

* Double-click a track to play it. Tracks not on your computer stream from Aden.
* Drag tracks onto a playlist to add them, or out into your DJ app or Finder.
* On an Aden playlist, **Add your tracks** searches your catalogue.
* Double-click your track's title to rename it, or click its status to change it.

If Aden can't find a library, open **Libraries**, pick the app and choose **Read from…**.
