# Choose how an edge is triggered
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/apps/desktop/aden-edge-triggers

Run different actions on the same edge with a key held, a rest first, a corner, both sides at once, or a circle.
Each row in **Settings → Controls**, under **Aden Edge**, has a trigger: how your finger moves to run it.

1. Choose **…** on the row.
2. Pick a **Trigger**:

* **Slide**: one finger along the edge.
* **Rest, then slide**: leave your finger on the edge for a moment first.
* **From a corner**: start in a corner of the trackpad.
* **fn + slide**, **⌥ + slide**, **⌘ + slide**, **⌃ + slide**: slide with that key held.
* **Both sides together** or **Both sides apart**: one finger on each side edge, moving the same way or opposite ways. Aden stops the page from scrolling while you do it.
* **Circle, key held**: hold fn, ⌥, ⌘ or ⌃ and draw circles anywhere, like turning a knob.

Two rows can share an edge when their triggers differ, like Brightness on a plain slide and Undo on a rest first.
