# MCP apps
Source: https://docs.aden.space/docs/help/apps-integrations/mcp-apps

Connect Aden to Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code and other MCP clients. One click for the clients that support an install deeplink, copy-paste config for the rest.

## What it is [#what-it-is]

Aden exposes a hosted MCP server (`https://mcp.aden.space`) with tools over
your catalog and team. Read tracks, draft campaigns, and schedule social posts
(Lite or higher). Managers get their organisation too: ask your assistant what
to follow up on, add a show prospect or a lead, move it through the pipeline
and log the call, all from ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Cursor. The Apps page lists every client you can point at it and
walks you through connecting one.

The opportunity scout is there too. Tell your assistant which artist, what
you are after (shows, sessions, sync, a label, press, a brand), where and
when, and it briefs the scout. A few minutes later it can read the
suggestions, add the good ones as leads and skip the rest. For any lead it
can pull one brief with the people, their published channels, the drafted
intro and the linked email threads, reach out from its own channel, and log
what it did back on the lead so the board and every other assistant stay on
the same record. Nothing is sent from Aden.

Claude Code on your machine can also use the **desktop** MCP instead of the hosted
server. Keep Aden Desktop open and signed in. Same server, several clients:

```bash
claude mcp add aden -- npx -y @aden/desktop-mcp
codex mcp add aden -- npx -y @aden/desktop-mcp
grok mcp add aden -- npx -y @aden/desktop-mcp
```

Cursor: Settings → MCP, or `~/.cursor/mcp.json` with `command` `npx` and args
`-y`, `@aden/desktop-mcp`. Full client matrix: desktop MCP help.

## Connect it [#connect-it]

The address is `https://mcp.aden.space`. Every team has it under
**Integrations**, every organisation under **AI apps**, each app with its own
setup: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code and
more.

* **ChatGPT**: Settings → Apps → Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode,
  then **Create app**, paste the address and choose OAuth. Aden then opens in
  the ChatGPT sidebar as itself: your board, track pages and player. Ask for
  one track and it shows as a card in the chat.
* **Claude**: Settings → Connectors → **Add custom connector**, paste the
  address. One connector works on claude.ai, Claude Desktop and mobile.
* **Any other AI app or agent** (Gemini, Grok, Meta AI, Perplexity, your own):
  add `https://mcp.aden.space` as a remote MCP server.

Then sign in with Aden and press **Connect**, or **Limit access** first.
Manage and disconnect apps in **Account → Connected apps**.

### Aden, headless [#aden-headless]

You never have to open Aden to use it. Ask in any of those apps to read or
change your tracks, releases, shows, leads and teams. Ask ChatGPT or Claude to
build you an app on top of your data, a dashboard or a listening room, and it
runs right in the chat, reading your tracks and keeping its own saved fields in
Aden.

## One-click setup [#one-click-setup]

Clients that support an install deeplink or a single CLI command get a primary action at the top of their setup section, and a **1-click** badge in the apps list:

| Client      | Action                   | What happens                                                                          |
| ----------- | ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Cursor | **Add to Cursor** | Opens Cursor's install dialog with the Aden server pre-filled. Confirm, then sign in. |
| VS Code | **Add to VS Code** | Opens VS Code's `mcp/install` dialog with the HTTP server pre-filled. |
| LM Studio | **Add to LM Studio** | Opens LM Studio's add-MCP dialog with the Aden server pre-filled. |
| Goose | **Add to Goose** | Opens Goose with the Aden streamable-HTTP extension pre-filled. |
| Claude Code | **Copy install command** | `claude mcp add aden --transport http <url>` |
| Gemini CLI  | **Copy install command** | `gemini mcp add aden <url> --transport http`                                          |

### The chat apps can't be one-click (yet) [#the-chat-apps-cant-be-one-click-yet]

ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity have **no** documented install deeplink. A custom connector is always name + URL typed into a dialog. They get the next best thing: the server URL with a copy button, next to a link that lands on the exact settings page.

| Client     | Settings link                                                                                    |
| ---------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| ChatGPT    | `https://chatgpt.com/#settings/Connectors` (Apps, Developer mode, Plus/Pro/Business+)            |
| Claude     | `https://claude.ai/customize/connectors` (owners: `https://claude.ai/admin-settings/connectors`) |
| Perplexity | `https://www.perplexity.ai/account/connectors` (Pro/Enterprise)                                  |

The only real one-click path for these is getting listed in their directories (ChatGPT apps directory, Claude connectors directory). That is an OpenAI review, not a link we can build. Until the listing is approved, add Aden as a custom connector at `https://mcp.aden.space` and sign in with Aden.

Windsurf's `windsurf://windsurf-mcp-registry?serverName=…` deeplink only opens *registry-listed* servers, so it can't carry a custom URL either. Cline, Zed, Continue and Raycast expose no install deeplink.

Every client still shows the manual steps and the raw config below the one-click action. The deeplink is a shortcut, not the only path.

## Authentication [#authentication]

The install only registers the server. The first tool call triggers an OAuth sign-in with your Aden account: **Connect** gives the app what you can see in Aden, **Limit access** makes it read only, keeps it to chosen teams or organisations, or ends it after a while. Change or disconnect it in Account → Connected apps. Mobile clients that use a custom URL scheme (Grok Bot, Cursor) complete that sign-in on mcp.aden.space and are sent back to the app after consent. For programmatic access use an API key instead.
